Professor Michael Heller, 2008 Templeton Prize Laureate, will speak at Columbia University on Wednesday, September 30 in a free event, open to the public. "Wonder and Knowledge," a conference on the origin of the universe in science and philosophy and the role of wonder in scientific discovery, is sponsored by the Crossroads Cultural Center and the Columbia Catholic Ministry, in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Science and Religion at Columbia.
Joining Professor Heller on the panel are Dr. Marco Bersanelli, Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Milan and author of the new book, "From Galileo to Gell-Mann: The Wonder that Inspired the Greatest Scientists of All Time: In Their Own Words," published by Templeton Press, and theologian, author and columnist Msgr. Lorenzo Albacete.
